Ohio K-9, deputies track down shooting suspect by following footprints in snow

A K-9 in Ohio is credited with tracking down a shooting suspect on the run. One clue in particular led the K-9 and authorities to the suspect — footprints in the snow.The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office received numerous calls regarding a man who was shot in the leg during an armed robbery in Grove City, Ohio.Deputies gathered suspect information and began investigating at the scene of the shooting, with the assistance of a K-9 unit. The deputies and K-9 Vando noticed the suspect’s footprints in the snow and began to follow them.K-9 Vando was able to sniff the suspect out and located him outside a small shed in a backyard.The suspect was then taken into custody.
